“I Am Here, With You” is a sensitive, music- and art-filled theatrical story inviting the audience to encounter the creator Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, who left behind an invaluable artistic legacy.

On stage, two comical widows meet in an art gallery. Their light and witty conversation unexpectedly takes a different turn as a long-kept secret is revealed, astonishing not only the women themselves but also a waiter working in the gallery. Observing their attitudes and growing impatient with superficial chatter, the waiter steps into the conversation, opening a deeper perspective for the audience – that life holds far more profound and meaningful truths.

His narration becomes a bridge into Čiurlionis’ world – his creative journey, family, and love story with Sofija Kymantaitė-Čiurlionienė. Through emotionally rich, visually and musically expressive scenes, the audience is invited to travel through time, discovering a new perspective on art, life, and the inner world of a human being.

This performance is not only a story about an extraordinary personality but also a creative journey of the theatre troupe itself. For a whole year, we lived within Čiurlionis’ world – exploring his work, searching for connection, feeling, and growing together with this material. The greatest challenge was creating the script, as director Roberta set herself what seemed like an impossible task. Yet it was accomplished – and today we are proud of a result that is deeply meaningful to us.

As the premiere approached, another important idea emerged – to incorporate live music into the performance. A string quartet performing Čiurlionis’ compositions became the true “cherry on top,” subtly enriching the сценic action and allowing the audience to experience the artist’s world even more deeply.
