“For Adults Only” is a comic drama that invites the audience to explore various real-life situations — the kinds we all find ourselves in at different stages of life. These short skits pose questions such as: What does it mean to be an adult? Do we become adults by legal age, or are there other defining moments? What is a family? Can our understanding of family be expanded? And how many unconscious double standards do we apply to ourselves as adults versus our children?

For Adults Only is the second production by the Lithuanian Amateur Theater and was created under highly challenging circumstances. Due to national restrictions, casting took place under the gloomy skies of the Botanical Garden, and initial rehearsals were held online. Later, small group rehearsals were hosted in living rooms. We were thrilled when we could finally gather on a full theater stage, where songs were sung, passionate discussions held, and creative solutions were born.
