The beginnings
FROM DREAM TO STAGE
In the autumn of 2018, a troupe of Lithuanian amateur actors was born, bringing together not only Lithuanians from Oslo but also theatre enthusiasts from Drammen and Fredrikstad. This creative community became a member of Viken Teaterråd, an organization that supports amateur theatre groups both creatively and administratively.
The founders of the theatre – Roberta Abramovičiūtė and Aušra Lapėnaitė – had long dreamed of the stage. One longed to direct, the other – to act. Their paths crossed on October 9, 2018, over steaming cups of ginger tea, where they gave voice to their dreams. That moment sparked the idea of creating an amateur performance, which became the first step in the troupe’s journey.

We choose theatre because here we can be ourselves – and become whoever we want to be. Each of us finds our place – on stage, behind the scenes, or creating the atmosphere. It’s a space where our creativity, courage, and friendships grow. Here, we don’t just act – we live the theatre.
